Spotify revamps its app with TikTok-style feeds

In an effort to make it easier for users to find new audio and video content, Spotify is updating the application’s primary home page.

There is a lot of artwork and vertical scrolling in the revised interface. Due to this, the standard album cover-based home screen gets changed into a feed that more closely resembles social media sites like Instagram and TikTok.

Spotify hopes to make it easier for consumers to explore and find new material within its ecosystem with the help of this new interface.

Users will still be welcomed with a selection of album and playlist covers at the top of Spotify after this update. Yet, underneath that, viewers could come upon an automatically playing video podcast that they can access with a simple press.

Instead, they can come across a huge Instagram-like image intended to provide them with more details about a playlist that they might find interesting.

Tap on either “Music” or “Podcasts & Shows” at the top of the screen to get a vertically-scrolling stream that closely resembles Instagram Stories or TikTok but is dedicated to that particular Spotify area.

You may touch on any entry to learn more about it or bookmark it for later. Each item in the feed will automatically play to give you a sense of what it contains.

The greater usage of tailored AI is one of Spotify’s other notable innovations. According to reports, Spotify’s “especially for you” playlist idea has been improved with the Smart Shuffle feature, which temporarily adds music to your existing playlists.
