Dr. Israr earned his MBBS degree from King Edward Medical College and pursued B.A and M.A in Islamic Studies from the University of Karachi. Actively participating in the formation of Pakistan, he supported the cause through the Muslim Students Federation (MSF). After the Partition, he initially joined Maududi-led Jamaat-e-Islami but later shifted to work with Tanzeem-e-Islami after a decade.
